Synopsis

The BCS is 50 years old and we end this season's events with some reflections on our local history.

Noel Cox and Rod Delamere, who have made huge contributions to the BCS in South Wales and pioneered the development of computing in various companies and public bodies locally, will reflect on some of milestones of the past 50 years. J V Tucker will speak about the Local History of Computing and the launch of the Swansea University History of Computing Collection. The meeting is an opportunity to learn aspects of the fascinating transformation of our society and to meet old and new friends.
