| Synopsis |
John Thompson graduated with a 1st in Computer Science from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1992. He started his career in technical research working for the UK Ministry of Defence. In 1996 he joined QSS Ltd, an Oxford based software tools start up and quickly moved into sales and then sales management positions. John increased sales by 1000% in 2 years. In 2001 John co-founded Commerce Decisions Ltd, a company which provides internet-based software solutions for big procurements. Commerce Decisions supported £50bn of procurement projects with clients including Department of Transport, Ministry of Defence, the US Department of Defence and Aberystwyth University. John sold Commerce Decisions to QinetiQ plc for £12m in 2008. |
