September 2001 letter

Dear Branch Member,

Programme of meetings for 2001 to 2002

The Branch has continued to run a varied programme of meetings across South Wales. Some of the meetings have been very well attended whereas others have ventured into rather esoteric subjects which, although thought-provoking have been less popular. The Branch continues to run with a small surplus which enables us to continue to make NO entrance charge so please come along and join us.

Suggestions for speakers, trips or events are always welcome

Enclosed with this letter you will find the programme of branch events for the period September 2001 to May 2002. Once again the programme has tried to address state-of-the-art issues and provide genuinely marketable skills, mixed in with other topics suggested by your selves as being of a broad appeal. May I draw your attention to the September meeting which is now only a few days away!

Web Site

The Web Site is becoming the main vehicle for publicising branch events and we are also considering using it to publish notes, slides and links following each meeting. The Web site contains information about the South Wales Branch, its meetings and committee contacts plus other information considered of interest. Again, feel free to feed back any suggestions for improvements.

Committee

The Branch committee has gained some new members during the year but remains a little light. New committee members are always welcome. We meet approximately once a month, but only for nine months of the year; people contribute whatever they can. Contact a member of the Committee if you would like to attend a committee meeting to see what it is all about.

Yours,

Paul Bulmer
