Computer use in home and at work by people with sight loss
Date 11th March 2004, Thursday
Time 18:30 for 19:00
Speaker Bob Hall, Access Technology Consultant, Royal National Institute of the Blind Cymru.
Venue Royal National Institute of the Blind, RNIB Wales, Trident Court, East Moors Road, Cardiff, CF24 5TD       Map
Description

Staring at the computer monitor all day is a part of many people's life but this can be difficult for those with sight loss - or impossible for blind people. Yet the computer has actually been a great enabler for people with disabilities. The speaker will describe and demonstrate how this is achieved. The talk will be of general interest to all but especially to those who provide computer facilities within organisations or to the general public. Be prepared for the day when one of the 2 million people in the UK with sight loss needs to access your computer systems!
