In this talk, our speaker will be
discussing whether ICT really can "earn its
keep" in a modern organisation, or whether it is just an expensive
corporate status symbol. This particular debate has been fuelled by a number of
prominent recent failures of ICT systems, but the
speaker believes the message behind those failures is that ICT
had not been properly integrated with other drivers of organisational
performance. He will then explain how to build ICT
for success, and demonstrate how a holistic model of an organisation's systems
can provide a more effective way of evaluating the worth of ICT
to organisations both in the private and public sectors.
